President, CEO, & Director
Rod Husband, P.Geo., is an economic geologist with more than 25 years of experience across the global commodity and finance sectors. He has built a career at the intersection of technical geology, capital markets, and public-company leadership, serving as CEO, director, and officer of multiple Canadian public issuers. Mr. Husband brings extensive experience in evaluating, financing, and advancing gold and copper projects, with a track record spanning early-stage opportunity assessment and exploration through development and into production. Rod served as President and CEO of Majestic Gold Corp. from 1996 to 2013 and led the company’s expansion into China. This included successful project identification and acquisition efforts that resulted in the discovery of more than 5 million ounces of gold and ultimately the construction and production of the 3-million-ounce Song Jiagou mine. Over the course of his career, he has raised more than $300 million to fund exploration, project development, and corporate growth across the mining sector. Rod holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of British Columbia and is a member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
Technical Consultant
Mark Richardson is a professional geologist with more than a decade of exploration experience across Canada, with a focus on structural geology and gold deposits. He has held senior roles with several exploration companies, including Exploits Discovery, Labrador Gold, Gold Terra Resource, and GeoVector. Mark is also the President and Principal Geologist of Axis Geoscience Ltd., where he specializes in transforming early-stage ideas into successful exploration opportunities.
At Exploits Discovery, Mark has previously served as Senior Geologist and Consulting Geologist, contributing to target generation, drill program design, and field leadership. His prior work includes advancing discoveries at Labrador Gold’s “Big Vein,” Golden Glove, HTC Zone, and Doyle Zone, as well as gold exploration in the Yellowknife Greenstone Belt with Gold Terra.
Mark holds both B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. degrees in Geology from the University of New Brunswick, with a specialization in structural geology and ore deposits. He is a registered Professional Geoscientist in Ontario (PGO) and New Brunswick (APEGNB).
CFO
Ms. Fitzmaurice, is a chartered accountant with over 15 years of experience in accounting and financial control for both private and publicly listed companies. She has significant experience as CFO for exploration companies and has been involved in numerous private placements, prospectus filings, flow-through financings and corporate audits. Ms. Fitzmaurice holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Athlone Institute of Technology, Ireland.
